Navigator just got an upgrade

It’s been busy season here at Navigator HQ. We’ve been hard at work learning from the many new teams who have brought Navigator into their meetings.

Today’s release focuses on improvements that you've been asking for.


So what’s new?

Simplified navigation & new mobile experience

We’ve introduced a new, more intuitive design for the sidebar. Pro tip: the sidebar can be hidden with a click! We’ve also redesigned the mobile app so you can more quickly navigate around the interface.


Faster topic creation

For those of you who are creating topics regularly, we’re excited to introduce the option of adding topics directly to the agenda. Use the “Add topic” button at the top of your agenda to give it a try.


And a ton of more updates

  • A new home for integrations
    Navigator is now officially listed in the Slack App Directory! Also, you’ll find an entirely new interface for managing your integrations like Calendar Sync. Check it out by clicking “Integrations” in the sidebar.

  • Notifications on comments
    We’re now sending notifications to users when their topics receive new comments. This encourages context and conversation to more readily evolve before stepping into the meeting.

  • More attendee roles: Guest and Inactive
    Navigator now supports a more sophisticated set of roles for meeting participants such as “Guest” and “Inactive.” These designations are helpful when dealing with one-time attendees, multiple email aliases, or mailing lists. Learn more here.

  • Support for email aliases
    Your Navigator profile now supports multiple email aliases. Learn more about how to add additional email aliases here.

  • Formatting for notes
    You’ll now see a formatting bar at the bottom of your notes section 🎉

  • Introducing Automations
    Finally, what was previously known as modules are now called automations. You’ll see a link for them in your sidebar. You can explore, enable, or disable automations for any of your meetings.

  • History tab
    You can more easily access previous topics through the History tab in the agenda details card. Get to the details by card by clicking ⓘ on your agenda. This view replaces the “Snooze” functionality and any previously snoozed topics will appear in this view.
